PRESS: CEO sees Detsky Mir 2017 revenue at about 100 bln rbl

MOSCOW, Jul 27 (PRIME) -- Revenue of Russian children goods retailer Detsky Mir will amount to about 100 billion rubles in 2017, CEO Vladimir Chirakhov told business daily Kommersant in an interview released on Thursday.

“Our combined revenue will amount to about 100 billion rubles this year,” Chirakhov said.

In 2016, Detsky Mir’s revenue grew 31.4% to 79.547 billion rubles.

“We have always declared that we will launch from 50 to 70 stores. In fact, we did 100 or a little more than 100. I mean, the view for this year is the same. We say that we will launch no less than 70 stores but I think we will launch more,” Chirakhov said.

The company would potentially like to invest in facilities making toys or other products sold at Detsky Mir, he added.
